Lemon Loaf Mason Jar

Two elements of design in my jar are the texture of the poppy seeds in the flour also the lemon zest. Another element is  The quite neutral colours of yellow and white with small amounts of black specks. The Texture gives the jar a more realistic feel making it seem less like plain layers and more volume to it. The colour Gives a calm  and happy vibe to the jar. Using brown and green ribbon and tag to stand out against the light yellows and whites.

One thing I like about how the final project  turned out is the light ness of the yellow and also how the poppy seed sticks out in the white of the flour. Another thing I like about the way my jar turned out is the tag. It gives a dark contrast to the light colours of the ingredients in the jar.

One thing I would do differently next time, I do a project like this is add more colour and layering in a more fancy pattern giving it a more wavy look.


Cream 3/4 cup or 177mL Butter, 1 1/2 cup or 354mL Sugar                                                        Add 3 eggs                                                                                                                                        Beat until light and fluffy                                                                                                                  Blend 2 1/4 cup or 531mL flour, 3tsp or 15mL Baking Powder, 3/4tsp or 3.75mL salt            Add poppy seeds to taste                                                                                                               Add 3tsp or 15mL lemon rind                                                                                                       Add Dry ingredients to creamed alternately with 3/4 cup or 177mL Milk

Bake in oven at 320 F until golden brown

Top with lemon juice and caster sugar glaze
